This NouFlex trainer spotlight is about Cathy Zygarlicke – the creator of the epic Warrior Kickboxing class! Cathy has been involved in health, fitness, and nutrition for over 20 years. She has a long list of training qualifications, spanning from her Personal Trainer and NouFlex certifications to yoga, kickboxing, and yoga certifications. 1. What is your favorite part about personal training?
It’s my heart, my soul, my everything. My motto is that whoever works with me leaves feeling better than when they started with me.
HIIT – quick intense intervals and training incorporating my Kickboxing moves. I also love working out my abs.
We have this domestic abuse shelter for women and kids I’ve been working with. I’m trying to teach these women different modalities to have in their toolbox. I also work with schools and bullying programs too. When these people realize what they have inside of them, they can feel empowered and walk around with more confidence. We’ve been using NouFlex Virtual Training to do this.
First, do something every day even if you don’t feel that well – just do something to move your body. If you are a beginner, look for things that excite you and make you feel alive when you work out.
Second, make a decision to set a goal and stick with it. After a while, it will become a habit and then a lifelong decision to feel good and be healthy.
Third, do it for yourself. You do what you can do and don’t worry about what anyone else can do.
I am an outdoors person so I love to be in the fresh air and sunshine. I love horseback riding, all types of sports, boating, biking, swimming, camping, snowmobiling, NHRA races, and off-road races. I volunteer as a coach for youth sports, and love playing with my boys, going on adventures…you could say I’m definitely a participant, not a spectator.
The Nouflex Training System is portable so I can take it outside, anywhere. It’s lightweight and lets you do many different exercises to target different muscle groups, so I don’t get bored.
